Voxel Quest

 Voxel Quest is a 3D adventure game that merges the retro feel of classic 8-bit games within a more modern 3D environment by incorporating a pixelated voxel art style. The player takes control of a knight who is tasked to defeat the Dark Wizard and stop them from wreaking havoc. Within this top-down three dimensional world, the player must travel to different dungeons of varying themes to obtain the Key Items located within each dungeon. Within the forest, the boomerang is obtained which acts as a non-damaging, stunning projectile that returns to the player after a short amount of time. Within the fortress, the bow and arrow is obtained, which fires a straight-shot projectile that deals damage to any enemies it hits. This and the boomerang can be used to hit switches from a distance. Within the cave, bombs are obtained, which when blown up can create a large explosion dealing damage to anything in the vicinity. This can be used to destroy breakable walls and obstacles. Finally, the last Key Item, which is found within the Ancient Tech Ruins is the hammer, which when swung, creates a large shockwave effect that deals damage to enemies nearby. This can be used to trigger switches on the floor. Each of the Key Items are needed to traverse through their respective dungeon and defeat the boss within each one. Once all of the Key Items are obtained, the player is able to use the tools to traverse through the final dungeon, the Castle. The Castle acts as a culmination of all of the previous dungeons and requires tactics and knowledge of the previous dungeons to traverse. At the top lies the Dark Wizard who can only be defeated with the use of all of the key items.
